Dell Alienware M17X

Dell launched the Alienware M17X “All Powerful”, a 17-inch gaming laptop. The M17X features up to dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M 1GB video cards in SLI mode and the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, upgradeable to quad-core Core 2 Quad / Extreme. Other components include up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB of hard drive space or up to 512GB of solid state drive storage, a slot-load DVD burner or Blu-ray optical disc, and an additional integrated GPU that can be used to save battery when dedicated graphics is not needed. The basic configuration, which includes a Core 2 Duo at 2,4GHz, a GeForce GTX 260 GPU, 4GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD, is priced at $1,799. The laptop can be purchased at Dell.com.

The Netbook Stand comes with a DVD super multi drive already included and an empty 2.5” SATA bay to fill up as you desire. Also includes 2 USB 2.0 ports and a 4cm cooling fan (that thing poking out on the top left of the dock). You connect it to your netbook via USB cable and power it by an AC adapter. Doesn’t say which sized netbooks it accommodates, but the size of this dock is 260 x 19 x 190 mm. Comes in black and white and is priced at $102.

Asustek has announced the Asus P30A, the first model in the P30 13.3-inch business notebook series. P30A includes the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor at 1.4GHz, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive storage, and a DVD burner. The LED-backlit anti-glare display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The Asus P30A also sports a built-in 1.3MP web camera, Intel’s WiMAX/Wi-Fi Link 5100 module, Bluetooth, a Gigabit LAN port, HDMI output, and a variety of security features including Intel Anti-theft technology, a fingerprint reader, a magnesium alloy skeleton beneath the chassis, hard drive shock protection, and a spill-proof keyboard.

The MSI X-Slim X340 thin-and-light 13.4-inch laptop with Intel’s new energy efficient platform is coming soon, according to PC maker’s website. The listed models are the X340-023US in white and the black X340-021US, both currently out of stock at msimobile.com. The notebooks come with the Core 2 Solo SU3500 CULV chip (1.4GHz, 3MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB), 2GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. The MSI X-Slim X340-023US and X340-021US are priced at $1.099.

 

Laptops → Raon Everun “Smallest and Lightest” UMPC Announced

Starting at approximately 1lbs (460g), Raon Everun has QWERTY keypad, an auto rotating 4.8 inch touchscreen display with 800×480 resolution, and “ultra power saving” AMD Geode processor. The lightest model - Everun Lite S6 - incorporates 6GB solid state drive, instead of 1.8-inch hard drive with 30GB or 60GB capacity found in Everun Lite H3 and Everun STD H6 models respectively. There is also the Everun STD SH6, which features both 6GB SSD and 60GB HDD. Each of these UMPCs has 512MB of system memory.
