HP → Wal*Mart Offers Sub-$400 Compaq Presario V5305WM

Wal*Mart yesterday started offering the Compaq Presario V5305WM 15.4-inch (1280 x 800) widescreen laptop for $398. The V5305WM notebook is powered by AMD’s Sempron 3300+ processor and comes with 512MB of main memory expandable to 2GB, ATI Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card with 128MB of shared memory and 60GB hard drive spinning at 5400rpm.
MSI → MSI Mega Book M670

The new MSI Mega Book M670 is a pretty impressive piece of hardware. The 15.4 inch notebook has AMD Turion 64 X 2 architecture, and supports all 64-bit software.
Laptops → OLPC Gains and Loses Support at the Same Time

The OLPC organization recently announced that it has received support from Brazil. The government of Brazil is requesting roughly 50 test units of the XO machine to see if it can be a tool worth deploying in schools and in areas with limited access to technology. As of right now, production on the XO machines have not yet started. The organization is still waiting for more significant orders to be placed before production can start.
Samsung → Samsung Q40, the ultra with DMB, HSDPA and WiBRO

Samsung offered in Korea the Q40, an ultra portable with a 12.1” display, 23.8mm thick and only weighing 1.1kg. The Q40 has ceased to exist, here's now the Q40. It has the same case, but also includes now a DMB TV tuner, HSDPA and WiBRO.
