Laptops → Kingston Announced 2GB and 800MHz Laptop-Use Memory
Memory maker Kingston Technology announced it is first to offer a full production launch of laptop-use 2GB 533 MHz and 667 MHz ValueRAM SO-DIMMs concurrent with the release of new 800 MHz ValueRAM SO-DIMMs.
“The new larger capacity, high-performance memory modules are designed to meet the growing demands of notebook computers and miniPCs, Also, the faster speed SO-DIMMs are in preparation for the industry migration to the 800 MHz platform”, the Kingston’s press release says.

All you Sony VAIO users, pucker up as there is a brand new accessory to go with your pretty notebook. The Sony VGP-USP1, USB Speaker lets you enjoy audio playback as notebook speakers are barely audible generally. Nothing exceptional about the USB speaker, except that since it comes from the Sony stables, sound has to be decent.
ASUS → New Asus Leather Laptops Announced
Asus today announced “luxury computing options” with the leather bound for this holiday season . “The 13.3-inch widescreen W6 new Leather Collection brings a wide aspect visual satisfaction with the exceptional compact mobility. Meanwhile, the compact S6 Series is now available in fabulous pink, only for a limited number”, Asus published.

So far, the world of Ultra-mobile Personal Computers (UMPC) hasn’t really “taken off” just yet. I mean, everybody and their dog has a cell phone, but very few consumers have taken the plunge and bought the latest UMPC.
If you are in that “got to have the latest UMPC” minority, you should check out Independent Pioneer’s IPbook A1. This baby’s got a VIA 1 GHz processor, 40 GB Hard Drive, and 512 MB of RAM. This is definitely good specs for supporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as optional GPS and DMB.

Logitech today announced the Logitech Alto notebook stand, a one-piece notebook riser with an integrated, full-size keyboard – “a product that levels the notebook screen with people’s eyes and frees people’s hands from the constraints of a cramped notebook keypad”.
