Gigabyte will offer in Japan 2 Core 2 Duo notebooks, including the W251U Series, with a 12” display (WXGA), a Core 2 Duo T7200, an Intel graphic card, 512MB of RAM (max 2GB), a 80GB SATA hard disk, Wi-Fi 3945 A/B/G, Bluetooth, a S-Video output and a 1.3Mpix webcam. Weight: 1.9kg.
Toshiba → Toshiba Protégé M500 White-Pearl Notebook PC

It looks like there’s a new laptop on the front with the Toshiba Protégé M500 White Pearl. According to the source, it also looks like this 12.1 inch notebook PC is targeted for female users. To be honest, I don’t know how a laptop could be targeted at females without sounding too sexist.
Lenovo → Lenovo Y Laptops for Asia-Pacific Announced

Lenovo introduced the new Y notebook series for the Asia-Pacific region. The Lenovo Y300 comes with 13-inch widescreen and is claimed to use a facial recognition technology via the built-in webcam, instead of a traditional fingerprint reader, while the 14-inch widescreen model is called Y400. It stands out with its built-in subwoofer.

The American PC maker Systemax today announced its first Intel Core 2 Duo-powered laptop. The 15.4-inch widescreen Systemax Pursuit has starting price of $999.99. Along with Core 2 Duo T5500 at 1.66Ghz, Systemax Pursuit comes with 1024MB PC4200 DDR2 of main memory, 80GB SATA hard drive, DVD burner and the Intel’s Integrated Extreme Graphics 2. It also has integrated 1.3 Megapixel Camera, and comes with Windows XP Professional.
